DENBY CHALLENGE CABYN
Denby Pottery offered us the challenge to showcase how versatile their pieces of tableware can be around your home. We’re not ones to turn down such a challenge and so we set off to @thecleveleyhouse with our Denby in arms to see how many ways we could style up their fabulous pieces!
A BIT ABOUT DENBY
Denby stoneware has been a part of the heart and soul of Derbyshire since 1809, making them one of Britain’s oldest pottery manufacturers.
For over 200 years Denby has been handcrafting pottery using time-honoured skills and traditions, turned by hand into beautiful stoneware. The super strong Derbyshire clay is sourced from just behind their factory as it was centuries ago.
HOME OFFICE ORGANISATION
The Denby Studio Grey jug and cup combine contemporary granite, charcoal and quartz effect glazes with modern practical shapes. Bringing together artisan and urban, the result is a casual yet impactful aesthetic.
CLEANLINESS NEXT TO GODLINESS
The Natural Canvas handleless mug and small oval tray are crafted to offer all the beauty and benefits of Denby stoneware with all the appeal and simplicity of white.
Extra Small Round Dip Dish, presented in a textured ombre Modus glaze.
Denby’s Natural Canvas textured jug works beautifully as a vase for your favourite flowers and their handleless mugs are a great hand warmer (like a hug in a cup) when having a little R & R in bed.
Denby Halo is one of their most popular and Instagrammed collections with its captivating glaze reaction. The two tones of glaze combine to create a dramatic effect that reflects their time-honoured know-how.
We used the Halo oil bottle as a gorgeous stem vase. The Studio Grey collection of handleless mugs look great as a trio for tea-light candles or small potted plants like succulents.
We used Denby’s extra small dishes from their Modus collection as tea-light holders and their Modus Walnut ridged vase to create a charming coffee table centre-piece.
Tableware doesn’t have to just be for dining. We think this Studio Grey large ridged bowl looks great as a fruit bowl and the Natural Canvas textured jug looks beautiful, simply to dress up your worktop.
Because Denby make great dining, table and service ware we needed to include some uses for food on our shoot! So we opted for a sofa picnic with the Heritage Cloud collection to mix up the dining table routine!
Check out the Denby website to explore their fantastic range and for more inspiration on how to dress up your dining experience and homestyle.
We would love for you to share your experience and pictures of how you utilise your tableware and help inspire other #cabyncrew.
Don’t forget, if you would like to visit our showroom you can do so by appointment, simply pop us a message on our contact form and we will be in touch to arrange!
